Things to do and see in Singapore

I know Singapore is commonly accused of being boring and a little too sanitised. But there are places around it that do provide a good day out, even for a young family. And even those places which are deemed to be a bit too “tourist-y” are maintained well; provide good, safe fun and some memorable moments to be captured in our memories and on film.

Here are some long overdue Impossible photos that were taken in December 2012 and January 2013 of various outings in Singapore.

(L)The restored river boats are very colourful and provide a great platform for enjoying the cruise.
(M)Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands is a now an iconic landmark of Singapore – It recently was recreated at a Limited Edition Lego Architecture set.

Siloso Beach, Sentosa

Sentosa is well known for it’s wild parties, expensive hotels (Rasa Sentosa) and now Universal Studios; but it is still possible to have a day out of fun without the high expense or modern-day attractions. Just take some time out to play in the well-protected water, build sandcastles and enjoy the sunset.
